Marissa Collier

"Domestic violence is very prevelent in our society. This topic speaks to all women of every nationality, ethnic group and culture. We have all been there in some shape or form and we should never be quiet about it."

Marissa Collier is a graduate of Georgia Southern University with a B.A degree in Theatre and a double minor in Business and Spanish. She has performed in many theatrical productions since the age of 5 beginning with church productions. Marissa realized that acting was her passion at the age of 13, when she took her first drama class. She participated in the drama throughout high school. She performed in numerous productions at Georgia Southern including The Tempest by William Shakespeare and Joe Turner's Come and Gone by August Wilson. After she graduated in 2013 from Southern, Marissa moved back to Atlanta and began to take Film Acting class with Victor Love at Evolv Atlanta Acting Studio. She is currently taking Film Acting with Dwayne Boyd at Premier Acting Network. Since college Marissa has been in numerous film, television and stage productions including the TV pilot Boarding Games, the short film 50 and TvOne's show Born Again Virgin. Marissa has also had leading roles in the theatrical productions of A Song for Coretta and American Menu, both produced by New African Grove Theatre Company. She is currently in the touring theatre troupe, Black Girls Productions, where she is playing the character, Taylor in I'll be Single Before I Settle. The production has traveled to Dallas and Killeen, Texas; New Orleans, Louisiana and Little Rock, Arkansas with more cities to come.
